FAQ

How many guests can I have?

The number of guests is specified in the package details, but the chapel can hold up to 100 people. The larger packages accommodate a larger number of guests.

Is there space for the bride to change?

We do have dressing rooms at the Chapel at the Preserve that are large enough for the entire wedding party. Bride and Groom dressing rooms with makeup area, half bathrooms, refrigerator. Minimum time required is 2 hours to be able to take advantage of the dressing rooms.

Where will the photographs be taken?

Both venues have areas for great photos both inside the chapels and outside. (No Views offered at Creekside.)

Where will we stay?

We have cabins nearby each venue. The Chapel at the Preserve offers a variety of cabins that can accommodate from 2 to 50 guests. There are cabins within walking distance of the chapel while our other cabins are in the resort. We recommend staying in one of our fully-equipped cabins for the most memorable, all-inclusive  wedding experience. Be sure to reserve your cabin early, as they tend to fill up quickly.

How do couples obtain a marriage license?

All couples are required to purchase a valid Tennessee marriage license in order for us to perform the ceremony. A Tennessee marriage license can be purchased at any Tennessee County Court Clerk’s office. You can also apply for your marriage license online at www.seviercountytn.org. Both parties must be at least 18 years of age, and each must have a valid photo ID and Social Security card. The license will only be valid for 30 days, so make sure this is one of the last things you purchase before your wedding in Gatlinburg!

Can The Chapel at the Preserve help us with group tickets to local attractions?

We have a group representative that can book group reservations at Dollywood, Dixie, Ripleys, etc. for a group of 20 or more.
